I am having a great time with all the family, although the majority went out in the wet & cold to see a movie I've already seen. I would've gone, but I am exhausted. I have had a viral infection that gave me some odd symptoms: light-headedness, gross drainage that never drains, & a nagging cough. I had a good birthday, too, earlier this month. I need to do some serious updating of things for the New Year. I also need to get cracking on that dissertation. No matter how hard I try to make it happen, it just won't write itself. Mean old evil dissertation! :)

Hope all are well! I am still improving in my weird conditions (both the recent viral & not-so-recent renal issues). Aren't you gald to read that? Now got eat some chitlins & scrapple! :P

We got the items to make Hoppin' John for New Year's Day today. I almost never eat it execept then, although I do rather like it. Granted, I don't get to eat bhindi masala as often as I'd like, either...
